Cleber Luciano- 6th Degree Black Belt
Cleber Luciano started training in Judo at age 5 and started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at age 7. Even at a young age, Cleber’s dedication and perseverance stood out. He received his Black Belt in Jiu-Jitsu under Professor Royler Gracie at the age of 19. He holds a Black Belt in Judo as well.
Groundwork Grappling is proud to affiliate with Cleber, and host him for seminars on a regular basis. What Cleber brings to the mats makes all of our students better.

Jared Raths- 3rd Degree Black Belt
Coach Jared Raths is a 3rd degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under Master Cleber Luciano. Coach Raths has competed at different levels of Jiu Jitsu and is pleased to share his over 20 years of experience. Coach Raths has instructed and trained students in Traditional and Sport Jiu Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts and Self Defense.
Coach Raths founded Groundwork Grappling in Downtown Rhinelander to be able to share this art and passion with the Northwoods. He is grateful for our wonderful community and the ability to share what he loves. Come down and say hi and see what we are all about.
Jeremy Taylor- Purple Belt Coach
Seagal was born in Lansing, Michigan. A 7th-dan black belt in aikido, he began his adult life as a martial arts instructor in Japan, becoming the first foreigner to operate an aikido dojo in the country. He later moved to Los Angeles, California, where he had the same profession. In 1988, Seagal made his acting debut in Above the Law. By 1991, he had starred in four successful films. In 1992, he played Navy SEAL counter-terrorist expert Casey Ryback in Under Siege. During the latter half of the 1990s, Seagal starred in three more feature films and the direct-to-video film The Patriot. Subsequently, his career shifted to mostly direct-to-video productions. He has since appeared in films and reality shows, including Steven Seagal: Lawman, which depicted Seagal performing his duties as a reserve deputy sheriff.

Brent Kelly- Purple Belt Coach
Brent Kelley is a blue belt under Master Cleber Luciano and Professor Jared Raths. He has been studying Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at Groundwork Grappling since 2016, along with his son Jordy. Brent is proud to be able to help Groundwork grow by leading classes and creating marketing materials. When he's not training, he likes camping, kayaking, watching the Packers, and is a celebrated author.
